JA New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame - Year Six

The 2016 Junior Achievement New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame will mark the 20th Anniversary of the induction ceremony.  As part of the 20th Anniversary Celebrations, we’re taking a look back at the previous 19 events that brought us to year 20!  This week we’re heading back to 2002 to celebrate the 6th Anniversary of the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame!

In 2002, the New Brunswick Business Hall of Fame went back to the Capital region and celebrated the induction of 3 deserving New Brunswick business greats.  The three deserving Laureates represented businesses like Baxter Foods, Coast Tire, Assumption Vie and Universite de Moncton!

Malcolm R. Baxter is widely known in business circles in Eastern Canada.  He is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Baxter Foods Limited and Coast Tire & Auto Service Ltd.  He also serves as an officer and director for a variety of business interests.

Ashley A. Colter was a prominent Fredericton businessman and founder of Diamond Construction Ltd.  His work has changed the face of Atlantic Canada - with projects including buildings at UNB, the Trans-Canada Highway, the Fredericton and Halifax Airports, docks in Saint John, Halifax and Dartmouth City Hall, the Pointe-de-Chene Wharf and the Princess Margaret Bridge.

Gilbert Finn is the former Lieutenant-Governor of New Brunswick and the past president of a number of important New Brunswick organizations including Assumption Vie, Universite de Moncton, and the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council.  He is also the founder of Conseileconomique due Nouveau-Brunswick (CENB).
